Megan Powell
Megan has more than 10 years of experience in the fields of instructional design,
project management, performance consulting, and facilitation. She has a B.S. in
English from the University of Kentucky, a B.S. in English with a concentration in
Secondary Education and an M.S. in Instructional Technology from Georgia State
University, as well as an Executive M.B.A. from Kennesaw State University and is a
certified Project Manager. In the past she has worked for a large variety of
companies both in an employment position and as a consultant, including SunTrust
Banks, BROKAT, Cingular Wireless, IKON Office Solutions, BMW, Kimberly-Clark,
and UPS. Her work includes development of instructor-led, web-based, and virtual
learning solutions for Business Sales executives and associates on subjects
ranging from soft skills to implementation of application training for a customer
relationship management solution. Success of the training initiative for the CRM led
her to managing the Business Analyst group supporting that application. Her project
management skills as well as her excellent verbal and written communication skills
make her a valuable asset to any project.
Francis (Skip) Atkinson, Ph.D.
Skip Atkinson, Founder and President of RDEA, Inc. has managed two
complementary and successful careers during the past 30 years, one as a
consultant and project manager in the corporate world and one as a professor in
higher education. As a consultant, Skip has managed performance improvement
projects with IBM, Bank of America, AT&T, Georgia Power, the Federal Reserve
Bank, UPS, and Iron Mountain. As a Full Professor of Instructional Technology at
Georgia State University, Skip established the graduate programs in Instructional
Technology at Georgia State University in 1975. While under his leadership, this
program grew to an enrollment of over 200 Masters Degree students, 40 Specialists
degree students, and 40 Ph.D. students. Skip has co-authored a book, written
several book chapters, as well as many journal articles. He has presented at
numerous national and international conferences. In his role as the lead professor
for the graduate programs in Instructional Technology, he managed the recruitment
of new faculty, mentored and coached faculty, and coordinated all program
development initiatives.
Vicki Atkinson, Ed.S.
Vicki Atkinson is a Managing Partner with RDEA, Inc., specializing in performance
and learning interventions to improve business results. Her career spans 30 years
in the field of learning and consulting working for IBM, and prior to that nonprofit
hospitals and public schools. She has worked across industries with some of the
following clients: Iron Mountain, IBM, US Navy, Sprint, Lexmark, Wells Fargo Home
Mortgage, Allstate, Alltel, Government Development Bank of Puerto Rico, PepsiCo,
Cleveland Municipal School District, Ford, and others.
Vicki's is certified in business transformation consulting and her engagements vary
in breadth and scope including managing performance analysis engagements,
leading transformation efforts, developing competency strategies, designing
learning strategies and learning offerings, designing job profiles and descriptions,
developing communication processes, designing career and certification plans,
designing learning metrics, and implementing recommendations. She has
successfully managed numerous projects across multiple national and international
organizations, served on IBM's consultant certification board, served as an advisor
and mentor to fellow consultants, and been actively involved in ASTD and ISPI.
Her education includes doctoral studies in instructional design and organizational
development, an Education Specialist degree (Ed.S.), a Masters of Education
(M.Ed.) and ongoing professional education and learning.
